Are You Fit To Fly?
In 1989, Reebok revolutionized women’s fitness with the creation of Step Reebok. It also revolutionized 1980s fashion with the Freestyle athletic sneaker. We ALL had those Velcro strapped hi-top kicks that came in white, black, red, yellow, and blue. Amazing. Now, 20 years later, Reebok has just revealed the launch of a NEW innovative gym workout – JUKARI Fit to Fly. The workout is the first in a series of initiatives to come out of a new, long-term partnership with the globally renowned, Cirque du Soleil.
JUKARI Fit to Fly makes fitness fun again by introducing a new way to move in a gym workout and is accessible to all women, regardless of fitness levels. The hour-long workout has been created on a specially-designed piece of equipment called the FlySet. The result is a Cirque du Soleil-inspired workout that gives the sensation of flying while strengthening and lengthening the body through cardio, strength, balance and core training.
To compliment JUKARI Fit to Fly, Reebok has also created two collections of women’s fitness apparel and footwear – On the Move and the Reebok-Cirque du Soleil collection. No hi-tops this time around, but the collections contain an array of pieces that can be mixed and matched together and integrated in your daily wardrobe both in and out of the gym.
JUKARI Fit to Fly will launch in top gyms in thirteen cities around the world including Hong Kong, Mexico City, Madrid, London, Krakow, Munich, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Montreal, Los Angeles…

Reebok is hosting private JUKARI classes at the Equinox on 19th St/Broadway location for non-members during June & July, 2009. You don’t have to be an Equinox member. You just have to be ready to be part of this exciting and fun new fitness movement about to take over New York!
