ABOUT ME: ALL-IS-ON aka LIFESTYLE ARTIST
So remember when you were in 2nd grade and you learned about maps? Do you recall being taught the significance of a “key,” or if you’re really fancy, a “legend?” Well we’re going to apply that valuable lesson here. I’m going to categorize my posts according to which of my 112 jobs the post applies. So here’s the “key.” (I’ll avoid using some cute cliche´here)
MUSIC: I did A&R for SonyBMG for the past 8 years. Yes, that means I scouted new talent for both Columbia Records and Epic Records, and oversaw the production of albums, one of which received a Grammy nomination. So I actually know what I’m talking about when it comes time for me to interview an artist, or talk about shows and albums. I am currently a host on Fuse TV, the host/producer for Steve Madden Music, and the writer of the music column “SOUND ADVICE from Allison Hagendorf” on MAXIM.com. So stick with me and we’ll make beautiful music together…or at least I’ll tell you about some beautiful music.
This was a very serious music experiment.
VOICE: I am a voiceover artist, which means you’ve probably heard my voice on TV or the radio. I currently do the majority of the promos and movie trailers for the Oxygen Network, and do a ton of stuff on MTV. I’m also the voice for the new Jergens commercial that is currently running. You may have heard my voice on a commercial for the following, “MTV The Real World,” “MTV Video Music Awards,” “MTV Battle of The Videos,” “MTV That’s Amore,” “HBO Taxi Cab Confessions” “Lady Speed Stick,” “Degrassi High,” “Talk Sex with Sue Johanson,” “Coolio’s Rules,” “The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency,” “Tori and Dean:Home Sweet Hollywood,” “Deion and Pilar: Primetime Love,” “The Bad Girls Club,” “Dish TV,” “Verizon VCast,” “Jergens,” and/or “TJ Maxx.”

ON-CAMERA: Because of my experience working closely with bands and recording artists, I became the on-camera personality/music host for a variety of brands. I am currently the host of Steve Madden Music and Playboy’s Rock The Rabbit, and I emcee events ranging from music to fashion to anything lifestyle-oriented. Most recently, I have become a host for Fuse TV, so tune in to see me hosting some music specials and a new show that’s about to launch 
FOOD: Besides music, my other greatest passion is food. I live by the Chris Farley quote from the SNL Gap Girls skit, “Lay Off I’m Starving.” I love food. I eat incessantly, and when I’m not eating, I’m incessantly thinking about eating incessantly. I’ll establish my food cred more later on, but until then…

DRINK: Besides music and food, my other greatest passion is drink, I mean nightlife. I’m out 7 nights a week, so I’ll often write about new cool spots where you should imbibe.
